How to Take Care of Your Liver

Do you wake up in the morning with a pasty mouth, strong breath or a coated tongue? Do you have trouble sleeping, nausea, gas? You may have a liver problem. Here are some tips to help you take care of your liver.
1) Eat plenty of raw or lightly cooked fruits and vegetables, especially dark green leafy vegetables.
2) Eat colorful fruits and vegetables (orange, yellow, purple, red) which are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C.
3) Eat foods that help the body produce glutathione: lean proteins, whey, pumpkin seeds, legumes and cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, garlic, broccoli, Brussels sprouts).
4) Artichoke helps in the production of bile, excellent for fatty livers and cases of poor digestion of fats. However, be careful with any treatment aimed at the secretion of bile if you have stones or if you no longer have a gallbladder.
5) Reduce the number of coffees. Green tea is a powerful antioxidant and contains less caffeine than coffee, especially if you throw away the first infusion. As for herbal teas, rosemary and chamomile facilitate liver digestion.
6) Drink enough water (30ml/kg). Water helps the kidneys eliminate urea and water-soluble toxins from the liver.
7) Place a hot water bottle on your liver after meals or at bedtime. The heat helps the liver in its work.
8) Do a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise per day.
Beware of dairy products, bad fats, sugars, starches, tobacco, alcohol. These are the enemies of the liver!
